Sencha Kakegawa

Japanese green tea

A perfect everyday tea. Unlike the Chinese Green teas, the leaves are steamed delivering a unique profile plenty of umami flavour.

Steaming process gives a pale-yellow colour but rich and intense flavour in cup.

Notes: raw vegetables, seaweed, avocado. Kind of “liquid grass”!.

Mouthfeel: Buttery texture, gently astringent and long.

Sencha, Japanese green tea from Kakegawa in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
